Software Engineer - Internship

Outsight’s software solutions track the motion of people and vehicles using 3D LiDAR data.

Operators of transportation hubs like airports and train stations but also sport venues, road infrastructures and industrial sites can now access accurate and anonymous Spatial Intelligence data, in order to improve operations and increase user safety and satisfaction.

Position Overview

You will be part of the Embedded team which is responsible for:

Achieving state-of-the-art performance for LiDAR processing in terms of accuracy and speed

Designing a software stack from the LiDAR management to the alert monitoring

Developing an internal visualization tool, to improve our efficiency and ease debugging

What will be your responsibilities?

Your goal will be to evaluate, challenge and optimize the main stages of our core application:

Data acquisition (network bandwidth, memory buffering)

Data processing

One topic will be to rework our data acquisition stage to:

Integrate state-of-the art / efficient networking libraries

Evaluate the integration of compression algorithm to reduce bandwidth usage

What are the requirements for the role?

Considering the responsibilities, the internship should last 6 months and targets a Bac+5/M2 student.
