Job Summary:
The Director of Analytics is responsible for leading data-driven decision-making processes across the organization. This role will oversee data management, business intelligence, and performance analytics to drive operational efficiency, improve manufacturing processes, and enhance strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analytics, business intelligence tools, and data governance within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a company-wide analytics strategy to optimize operations, supply chain, and financial performance.
- Lead a team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals to ensure high-quality data analysis and reporting.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and interpretation of data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with leadership across departments - including production, supply chain, finance, and sales - to align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Implement and manage business intelligence tools and dashboards to enhance real-time decision-making.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics models to anticipate challenges and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular insights to executive leadership to drive business performance.
- Partner with IT teams to optimize data infrastructure, integration, and automation efforts.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in analytics, AI, and machine learning to continuously improve the company’s data capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably within manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience in managing analytics teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis languages.
- Experience with ERP systems, data warehousing, and cloud-based analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain analytics, and process optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
