Job Purpose
The Backend Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications in a collaborative, onsite-offshore model. This role requires expertise in server-side technologies and architecture, ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of high-traffic applications.

Job Purpose
The Backend Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications in a collaborative, onsite-offshore model. This role requires expertise in server-side technologies and architecture, ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of high-traffic applications.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and related frameworks like Express.js or NestJS.
- Design and implement efficient, optimized RESTful APIs and web services for high-traffic environments.
- Manage data storage solutions by designing and working with databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Ensure secure application design by implementing OAuth and JWT authentication practices.
- Collaborate in the creation of microservices architectures, and work with tools like Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and work with CI/CD tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Solve complex problems, optimizing code for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of server-side logic with user-facing elements.
- Maintain application security, reliability, and responsiveness under load.
- Write clean, reusable, and testable code while adhering to industry best practices for version control and Agile workflows.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge by staying up-to-date with new technologies and best practices.
- Extensive experience with backend development using Node.js and TypeScript, including frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
- Expertise in designing and optimizing RESTful APIs for performance and scalability.
- Solid experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of OAuth, JWT authentication, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Good grasp of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and version control (Git).
