Your Mission in Funcom

As a Senior Game Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of our games. You will be responsible for thoroughly testing game features, content, and functionality to identify potential issues and ensure an exceptional gaming experience for our players.

Your expertise will help shape the development process by reporting bugs, collaborating with developers to reproduce and resolve problems, and providing actionable feedback to improve gameplay.

How you can have an impact in your position:

• Own a project area and ensure that all the checks are properly executed
• Create and execute test cases based on design documents
• Work closely with the Project Managers and Game Testers to deliver the tasks on time and with the expected quality
• Help maintain the good functionality of the game systems by developing an intimate understanding of them and their associated requirements
• Perform testing accurately and thoroughly, within a specified time frame to detect bugs, software flaws, and/or design issues
• Report the test results, provide regular updates, and escalate concerns to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure the quality of testing deliverables
  
  

We are looking for you to have:

• Passion for video games
• Advanced knowledge of QA processes
• 3+ years of experience in QA roles
• Ability to provide constructive and qualitative feedback for the game
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, Xray, JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with the test cycle of a commercial game project, from alpha to beta, launch, and ongoing maintenance
• Ability to provide peer support and onboard new team members effectively
• Professional attitude with a proven track record of being proactive, self-driven, meticulous, and curious
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect and troubleshoot problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  
  

In addition, ideally, you might also have:

• QA experience on current-gen consoles
• Advanced knowledge of SDLC
• Experience with playing Survival games and RPGs (Conan Exiles, ARK, Rust, 7Days etc.)
