Senior Researcher

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced 3GPP RAN1 delegate to drive the emergence and evolution of 6G. In this role, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge research, shaping the future of next-generation radio networks for the Client.

About the role:

As part of the Standards and Research team, what you will be dong:

• Innovate & evaluate ground-breaking ideas for 6G and beyond.

• Contribute to 3GPP standardization, shaping the future of radio access technologies.

• Drive IPR & standardization proposals, ensuring technical leadership in the industry.

• Collaborate globally, communicating standardization trends to R&D teams.

• Engage with academia, identifying emerging research concepts with potential impact.

• Work across multiple functional layers & workgroups, mastering end-to-end RAN systems.

• Focus on physical layer research, with an emphasis on 3GPP RAN1 technologies.

What you should bring on:

Must-Have:

• 8+ years as a 3GPP RAN1 delegate, with deep expertise in physical layer standardization

• Proven track record in 5G & emerging technologies, driving standardization efforts.

• Excellent understanding of PHY-layer functionalities, waveform design, MIMO, coding, and more.

Nice & Preferred to Have

• Rapporteur or Feature Lead experience in 3GPP work/study items.

• Exposure to 6G research & pre-standardization activities.

• Strong background in IPR generation & patent strategy.

• Industry experience in wireless R&D, academia, or telecom standardization.
