Senior Full-Stack Developer (Android)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Partial Remote Possible)

Employment Type: Contract (12 Months, Extendable)

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a focus on Android to join one of our five product teams within IT Traffic and Service. The team develops and manages critical traffic planning and management systems, essential to the company’s core operations. The development process is highly collaborative, involving close work with end users.

The company is currently migrating and rebuilding its backend to a microservices architecture, with applications hosted on Azure Cloud. You will work on applications that must function 24/7, directly influencing the future of digital services.

• Android Development – Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications.
• Java/Kotlin Programming – Work extensively with Java and Kotlin for backend and Android development.
• API Design – Design and develop REST APIs.
• Legacy Code Management – Refactor, migrate, and maintain legacy codebases.
• Testing – Write testable code and ensure high test coverage.
• Cloud Development – Work within a cloud environment (preferably Azure).
• DevOps & CI/CD – Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Agile Collaboration – Participate in pair programming, mob programming, and cross-team discussions.
  

• Android Development – Strong experience in developing Android applications.
• Java & Kotlin – Proficiency in backend and Android development using these languages.
• REST API Design – Experience in designing and implementing APIs.
• Legacy Code Refactoring – Ability to modernize and optimize existing codebases.
• Testing & Testable Code – Experience with writing unit and integration tests.
  

• Cloud Platforms – Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• CI/CD Pipelines – Setting up deployment pipelines in Microsoft DevOps or equivalent tools.
• Version Control & Agile Tools – Jira, Confluence, Git, DevOps Pipelines.
• Pair & Mob Programming – Experience working in collaborative coding environments.
  

• Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Onsite with Partial Remote Work Possible).
• Assignment Duration: 12 months, with a possibility of extension.
• Language Requirements: Good proficiency in Swedish and English (spoken and written).
