Job Description

What it's all about:

As a Data Scientist, you will be driving data innovations for Visa Consulting & Analytics, working closely with clients and various Visa departments to create and develop Europe-wide data solutions for card issuers.

What we expect from you day to day:

• Support consulting projects with data analytics.
• Understand client needs and develop data-driven solutions.
• Engage with clients alongside consultants.
• Develop proof of value and business case simulations.
• Test solutions within local data science teams.
• Improve existing data solutions.
• Facilitate solution sales and develop collateral.
• Ensure data science output quality and accuracy.
• Develop new solution ideas for diverse clients.
• Prioritize new solution development with stakeholders.
  
  

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What we're after:

• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
• Master’s/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Proven experience in a data science role.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Strong experience with data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R and SQL.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience or willingness to learn data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
• Experience in the payments/financial sector is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Fluency in English.
