Job Responsibilities/Objectives

As a strategic leader, you will define, develop, and implement an organisation-wide generative AI strategy. Key responsibilities include:

• Define and execute a transformative vision for generative AI, aligning with business objectives to unlock new opportunities and drive innovation.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and expand a high-performing AI team, fostering an innovative and collaborative culture.
• Engage with senior leadership, industry partners, and vendors to drive AI adoption and explore co-innovation opportunities.
• Establish best practices for AI governance, ensuring compliance with ethical AI principles, data privacy regulations, and risk management frameworks.
• Define KPIs to measure AI impact, optimising processes and models for continuous improvement and maximum business value.

Required Skills/Experience

• 10+ years in AI/ML, data science, or a similar field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise AI solutions, particularly in generative AI models.
• Expertise in machine learning, deep learning (e.g., Transformer-based models, diffusion models), NLP, and AI platform development.
• Strong knowledge of cloud AI ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Business acumen to translate AI capabilities into commercial value, with experience in project planning and vendor management.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• PhD or advanced research background in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Experience deploying generative AI at scale in a corporate or governmental setting.
• Familiarity with AI ethics, regulatory compliance, and responsible AI governance frameworks.
• Strong track record in fostering AI innovation within a corporate structure.
