Role

Palinoa is a rapidly growing seed funded startup with a team of 18 people across London, Porto, and Toronto.

As the Lead Product Designer, you will work at the forefront of sales tech innovation by leading the UI/UX design of our AI native sales optimisation platform. With a staggering 72% of sales time spent on admin tasks, we are building intuitive data driven tools to automate this burden with unparalleled reliability. Empowering sales professionals to focus on the irreplaceable human skills of their roles - building strong customer relationships and closing deals.

Your initial focus will be our MVP, consisting of a data optimisation engine that unifies, cleans, and enriches customer data to ensure LLM preparation. While our team of engineers develop the core data processes and infrastructure, you will transform these revolutionary technologies into powerful user experiences that provide the crucial foundation for our product vision to flourish.

Collaborating closely with the Product Manager, Lead Engineer, and Co-founders, you will have complete creative autonomy of every element of the user journey for both the backend admin experience and frontend applications as a cloud native desktop solution. Your expertise will shape the product trajectory and user impact.

As we embark on a $2 trillion market opportunity to optimise sales productivity, this role provides a unique chance to design products for global scale with the support of a passionate and dedicated team of entrepreneurs and operators as we scale to Series A and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve complex data and sales process problems by designing user friendly solutions that enable sales professionals to optimise their productivity.
• Lead the design process from end-to-end flows and wireframes to mock-ups and working prototypes, ensuring every detail is accounted for.
• Collaborate with the product manager, engineers, data scientists, and cross functional teams to define and solve both customer and business problems.
• Identify key project metrics and take ownership of their success.
• Conduct research and user testing (including guerrilla testing and workshops) to ensure designs meet customer needs.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback, implement with the technical team, and present final solutions during design reviews.
• Continuously review and improve the performance of releases, identifying learnings and ways to enhance the product.
• Contribute to high level strategic decisions with product and founding teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• 3+ years of experience designing complex digital products.
• Self directed and able to take ownership of the end-to-end design process.
• Expertise building web based applications for desktop users.
• A portfolio that demonstrates our design principles and a process that prioritises solving user problems.
• Ability to iterate quickly through different fidelity stages (sketches, wireframes, prototypes).
• Ability to think strategically about products and clearly articulate design decisions.
• Experience using research and data to drive product strategy.
• Ability to understand technical implications of design decisions.
• Strong UX focus and understanding of human behaviour.
• Strong proficiency with Figma.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing cloud native B2B SaaS products.
• Experience working in a fast paced startup environment.
• BS/MS in UX/UI Design or Computer Science.
• Some programming experience and the ability to code basic prototypes.

Contract Details

This is a 9 month fixed term contract which we are committed to transitioning into a full time position after closing our Series A next year, offering the opportunity to build and lead the product design team. With significant potential for rapid career growth and equity at this early stage, this is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a rapidly growing startup.

If you cannot commit to the full contract duration, we can be flexible with the term length.

Compensation

Holiday entitlement is prorated based on an annual allowance of 24 days, accruing at 2 days per month, resulting in a total of 18 days of holiday over the duration of the contract. We can be flexible with any pre-booked travel commitments and are open to accommodating special exceptions where needed.

Individual compensation will be determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
