Job Overview

Malomatia is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure solutions for our customers. This role is responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. The Architect will act as a Technical Authority, formulating technical requirements and delivering architectural designs that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design and Planning

Own the infrastructure component of solutions offered to customers.
Ensure seamless operation, scalability, and alignment of IT ecosystems with business goals.
Design and implement reference architectures for compute, storage, and network solutions.
Develop high-level and detailed infrastructure designs, including on-prem, hybrid, and cloud architectures.
Research and recommend new technologies to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
Share insights on emerging technologies and best practices with internal teams and customers.

Implementation and Deployment

Lead deployment and integration of IT infrastructure solutions in line with design specifications.
Work closely with business teams, developers, and system administrators for smooth implementation.
Manage and deliver Proof of Concept (PoC) projects for client solutions.
Oversee solution deployment to ensure compliance with architecture standards.

Performance and Optimization

Monitor infrastructure performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive optimization initiatives.
Conduct capacity planning to ensure systems can handle current and future workloads efficiently.

Documentation and Standards

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and configuration guides.
Establish and enforce best practices and standards for infrastructure and deployment.

Internal: Practice Managers, PMO & Project Teams, Delivery Team, Architects

External: Vendors, Suppliers, Customers, Sales, Consultants

Qualifications And Skills

Educational Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, TOGAF9 Foundation, COBIT5 Foundation, VMware, RedHat, and Microsoft certifications.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 12+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in an architecture role.
8-10 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, virtualization, cloud, and consulting.
8+ years in a professional services environment.
Proven expertise in designing and deploying cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure solutions.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs).
Expertise in server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (SAN, NAS).
Hands-on experience with Azure, Oracle Cloud (OCI), Google Cloud.
Proficiency with automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes.
Familiarity with ITSM/ITOM frameworks and tools.

Behavioral Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to interact with senior management.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Team player with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
