Functional Expertise

1. Understanding of Payments and Platforms

-Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem, particularly Unified Payments Interface (UPI), its functionality, and operations

-Experience in managing platforms, understanding their unique aspects compared to standard products c. Familiarity with platform-specific metrics. Previous experience in handling platforms will be a big plus

2. Ecosystem Knowledge

-In-depth understanding of regulatory guidelines affecting merchant and payments businesses, covering both offline and online payments.

-Awareness of industry best practices for payments, reconciliation, and financial systems.

-Stay updated with the latest advancements in payment technologies and methodologies.

4. Design and Execution Skills

-Capability to develop workflows, UI wireframes, and adhere to strong design principles.

-Skill in defining and executing a strategy and roadmap for the payments platform, aligned with regulatory guidelines and company objectives.

-Execute the roadmap with internal stakeholders (like engineering ,business, risk, compliance etc.) and external stakeholders (like service providers, regulator and partners - banks or other partners) -Has exceptional written and verbal skills e. Is extremely data driven , and hands-on with tools (ex. metabase) and language (ex. SQL)

Impact

● Develop and execute strategy for a product & manage mid/high complexity product independently with limited manager support

Qualification & Experience

● BE/B.Tech or equivalent Degree. MBA is good to have

● 1-3 years of experience

● At least 1 years of experience in product management at a fintech

● Past experience of working in Payments is must.

● Excellent organization skills, ability to lead multiple projects and handle contending priorities, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment.

● Experience of working on a Payments or Recon charter at a fintech / payments company. Past success delivering high quality products in a complex environment

● Deep understanding of financial systems, and payment platforms is preferred
