Remote-based for a new Trading Firm in London/New York

💷 £600-£800 per day, OUTSIDE IR35

We are looking for a Contract Software Engineer, Contract C++ Developer to join a newly formed trading organisation based in London and New York - this will be a remote based position (remote working).

The C++ Developer will have experience working on low-latency and high throughput based trading systems, utilising C++, Linux, Algos, Exchange Connectivity, FIX etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of the Market/Exchange applications and components.

• Requirements analysis and capture

• Ability to work closely with the business users and other technology teams to define solutions

• Liaison with support and development teams

• Second/third line support of the platform.

• Knowledge of the full development life-cycle including agile practices

Knowledge/Experience of the C++ Developer:

• Understanding of design patterns and best software practices.

• Leader in CI and automated delivery

• Strong C/C++ knowledge

• Experience of working with UNIX/Linux

• Strong SQL skills

• Ability to convey technical functionality to a Quants, Trader and support.

• Experience of working in a trading environment

• Real-time algorithms

• Exchange Connectivity/Market Access

• Strong understanding of EMEA Exchange Electronic trading

Other (useful to have some of the following):

• STL

• Boost

• Experience in Multi-threaded environments \ systems

• TCP/IP
