DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Specialist

We're currently partnered with a crypto asset trading firm who is looking for a DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Specialist to join their growing team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the best traders on the market, gaining a deep exposure into the crypto currency market and being an integral part of a fast-moving, high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain continuous operation of production server applications.
• Conduct server administration tasks and resolve issues as they occur.
• Oversee and sustain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems like Splunk, Telegraph/Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
• Manage non-production trading data, services, and servers.
• Supervise and enhance build and release cycles for trading applications.
• Optimize performance by managing the networking environment.
• Continuously enhance infrastructure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Automate infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, etc.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A background in financial services is essential.
• Over 5 years of experience in infrastructure operations or similar roles.
• Strong expertise in cloud technologies, with a preference for AWS.
• Proficient in Linux systems administration.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or similar.
• Familiarity with build and release processes, ideally in a trading environment.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Ability to script in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.

What would make you stand out?

• Experience in high-frequency trading or the financial services industry.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in running blockchain nodes.
• Knowledge of security best practices in infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems design and development.
• Solid understanding of modern software development practices, including CI/CD, service instrumentation, and multi-site software systems.
