Python Engineer

Company Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer with over 4 years of professional experience in software development. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in software engineering principles, software architecture, and best practices, with hands-on experience in Docker and a focus on Python as the primary programming language. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions, while also contributing to the architecture and decision-making processes.

This position is to work in Machine Learning related projects. We are looking for someone with strong development capabilities who wants to learn how to become a Machine Learning Engineer and work in AI environments.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in software architecture decisions, ensuring the design aligns with business requirements and technical standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop features, and integrate systems.
• Create and maintain Docker containers for development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote best practices in software development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the software, ensuring stability and reliability.
• Write clear and concise documentation for code, architecture, and processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and architecture.
• Extensive experience with Python as the primary programming language.
• Proficiency in Docker for containerization and experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes is a plus).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, C++..).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions) and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and test automation.
• Experience working in with data transformations (pandas, spark, arrow).
