About The Role

GreenPowerMonitoring & Solutions, a DNV company, is at the heart of the global energy transformation. GPM&S is looking for a talented and proactive person who will join our Cybersecurity Team.

The Main Areas Of This Unit Include

  • Risk Assessment: Identifying potential cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities within the organization's systems and networks,
  • Policy Development: Establishing cybersecurity policies and procedures to guide the organization's approach to managing cyber risks,
  • Security Measures: Implementing and maintaining security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption to protect sensitive data,
  • Monitoring and Detection: Continuously monitoring the organization's networks for unusual activity that could indicate a security breach and detecting cyber threats,
  • Incident Response: Responding to cybersecurity incidents and breaches, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery,
  • Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring the organization complies with relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and standards, and conducting regular audits to verify compliance,
  • Training and Awareness: Educating employees about cybersecurity best practices and raising awareness about the importance of it.

Responsibilities May Include (depending On Experience)

  • Configuring and maintaining computer networks including switches, firewalls, routers, and VPNs,
  • Deploying and maintaining virtualized servers,
  • Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of current infrastructure,
  • Troubleshooting and providing technical support to internal staff or external customers when appropriate,
  • Creating and contributing to technical documentation,
  • Auditing systems and networks,
  • Estimating tasks and participating in the design of new projects and challenges,
  • Exposing and discussing technology with other IT experts across our organization.

About You

To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • A Master degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field,
  • 5 years of experience in IT systems management, including hands-on experience with hardware and software troubleshooting, network administration, and system security,
  • Proven experience with HyperV and VmWare ESXi,
  • Comprehensive understanding of network services, networks and redundancy protocols,
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently,
  • Ability to deploy and maintain Windows Server and Linux OS,
  • Ability to create scripts to automate actions using PowerShell, bash scripting or Python.
  • Skills: Proficiency in managing and supporting IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication.

Some Extra Skills That Could Be Valuable

  • Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Microsoft (AZ-800, AZ-801), LPIC2 certification or CCNP,
  • Experience with VPN IPSEC or GRE Tunnels,
  • Experience with real HA environments,
  • Experience with observability stack frameworks,
  • Experience with k8s environments,
  • Experience with IDS and SIEM systems.
