Network Engineer

Our client, a leading telecommunications company in Bern, is hiring a Network Engineer to support and develop their network infrastructure. This permanent role offers an opportunity to contribute to a sustainably expanding company.

As a Network Engineer, you will:

• Design, implement, and optimize network solutions across MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, IPSec, and Overlay-Routing
• Configure and maintain Cisco ASR, Nexus, Arista switches, and Fortinet firewalls
• Ensure the stability and performance of IPX/GRX environments
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and support cross-functional teams
• Contribute to network security using Cisco ICE and Fortinet solutions

The ideal Network Engineer will have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering
• Expertise in MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, IPSec, and Overlay-Routing
• Proficiency with Cisco ASR, Nexus, Arista switches, and Fortinet firewalls
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with network security tools (Cisco ICE, VPNs)
• STEM degree or relevant certifications (CCNA)
• Fluent in English with a self-driven, proactive personality
