Role Overview and Responsibilities

Job Objective

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing product strategy and roadmap. It will focus on delivering the best in class assortment and product lifecycle startegies to drive financial growth and margin. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and efficient product planning, product buying and merchandising cycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diamond jewelry business and consumer preferences in GCC market. The ideal candidate will have experience in building multi-year business strategy inclusive of assortment, distribution and pricing roadmap. The ideal candidate is expert in inventory management, assortment planning, and data analytics to maximize product assortment, profitability, and customer satisfaction.


Key Performance Indicators

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and implement the long-term product strategy and roadmap for buying and merchandising, aligning with business goals and market trends.
  • Assortment & Inventory Management: Work closely with the buying team to optimize product assortment, seasonal trends, inventory levels, and pricing to ensure a balanced and profitable product offering.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to monitor and improve sales performance, inventory turns, and profitability. Leverage insights to inform buying strategies and merchandising decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the merchandising, buying, supply chain, and operations teams to create efficient processes and systems for product lifecycle management.
  • Customer Experience Focus: Continuously refine product offerings to align with customer preferences, market demand, and competitive landscape. Ensure that product availability and assortment meet customer needs across various channels (e.g., online, in-store, etc.).
  • Pricing & Promotions: Collaborate with pricing teams to develop and implement competitive pricing strategies and promotional campaigns that drive sales and margins.
  • Vendor & Supplier Relations: Work with suppliers and vendors to negotiate product terms, pricing, and lead times. Build strong relationships to ensure the timely delivery of merchandise that meets quality and cost expectations.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for buying and merchandising success, including sales, gross margin, stock levels, turnover rates, and customer satisfaction metrics.


Required Experience, Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, buying, merchandising, or retail/e-commerce operations, with at least 2-3 years in jewellery industry with a focus on Arab market.
  • Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience in working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful products from concept to execution.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and optimize processes.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, inventory management systems, and merchandising tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools or predictive analytics in buying and merchandising processes.
  • Expertise in customer segmentation, trend forecasting, and assortment planning.
