What you'll bring

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years working as a software engineer, ideally using an Agile flavor such as Scrum or Kanban
  • 2+ years developing a public-facing microservice at scale, where you gained expertise in design & implementation to deployment and operations. AWS expertise is a bonus. 2+ years of modern front-end development using frameworks or libraries such as React
  • 2+ years of experience with Object Oriented Development or Functional Programming with any of the following Languages: Java/J2EE, Kotlin, JavaScript, Typescript
  • Understanding of GraphQL and REST
  • Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
  • A Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot, REST API development and consumption, and knowledge of scalability patterns and practices
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to make decisions independently
  • Strong desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding partnership skills

How you will lead

  • Write scalable web application code with the utmost attention to detail, inclusive of accessibility, performance, scalability, and security
  • Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code
  • Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
  • Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, design or business units to drive forward results
  • Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
  • Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Kanban
  • Leverage industry trends to make the best technology choices and strategic
