Position: UI/UX Product Designer

Reports to: Head of Product

Location: Fully Remote (UK)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Role Overview:

As a UI/UX Product Designer, this role is pivotal in shaping the user experience and interface of financial software solutions. The position involves working collaboratively with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to design intuitive, visually engaging, and functional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user research, prototyping, and interaction design, particularly within financial software.

UI/UX Product Designer (Accounting SaaS – Office of the CFO) - Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct user research to understand the needs, pain points, and behaviours of financial software users.
• Analyse market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for design innovation.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and refine product requirements.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to explore and communicate potential solutions.
• Maintain and improve information architecture to ensure an intuitive user experience.
• Organise complex financial data into clear and user-friendly structures and workflows.
• Create high-fidelity prototypes to visualise and test design concepts, iterating based on usability feedback.
• Develop visually appealing UI designs that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
• Ensure responsive and accessible designs across multiple devices and platforms.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions.
• Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
• Create detailed design specifications and documentation for development teams.
• Maintain a design system or style guide to ensure consistency across all product interfaces.

UI/UX Product Designer (Accounting SaaS – Office of the CFO) - Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Product Designer, ideally within financial or accounting software.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, including financial applications.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe XD.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.
• Experience working with agile development methodologies.
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts into intuitive user interfaces.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective UX solutions.
