One of our clients is leading financial institution who is seeking Network Engineer based in Sydney.
6 months contract role with possible extensions
You will need to demonstrate a blend of technical and business knowledge, show experience in working a diverse range of technologies and evidence the ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
Technical requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in computer science, engineering or other relevant qualification, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years previous Network hands on design and operations experience working in complex network environments.
- Experience in SD-WAN, SASE Cloud based SaaS implementations, VPN/Firewalls, NAC, LAN & WIFI technologies.
- Solid knowledge of Routing & switching protocols
- Hands-on experience of Network and Security concepts.
- Experience in Cloud Network implementations preferably with partners like AWS/Azure.
Key Roles & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide off-hours on-call support for critical network incidents and outages, ensuring minimal downtime and loss of productivity
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including firewalls, SD-WAN, DNS, IPAM, NAC, VPN, and Domain/Certificate administration.
- Configure, implement and monitor network performance and integrate alerts with other tools.
- Proactively analyse logs, alerts and metrics to identify potential faults and suggest optimizations to improve network performance.
- Conduct capacity planning exercises from time to time and make recommendations to optimize capacity.
- Configure and manager Partner Cloud network infrastructure such as VPCs, Transit Gateways, VNets.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including network topology diagrams, configuration guides and operational procedures
- Builds and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and vendors for supported applications to resolve business support requests, communicate progress and status of Incidents and Problem tickets
- Drive an effective communication framework with partner organisation.
