Product Technology Manager, Gasification

Our Technology unit is responsible for the technology of power boilers and gasifiers in Valmet. We are looking for a Product Technology Manager for gasification plant. In this position you will be working with Product Engineers, Chief Engineers, and other professionals and together you will develop, sell and deliver products that meet our high standards to industrial and power generation customers globally.

In this position you will develop and standardize both mechanical and process design of CFB gasifiers in close co-operation with the whole department and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for the technical concept and the given performance guarantees of the offers provided to customers. In this role, it is important to secure the product’s competitiveness and suitability for demanding market expectations. In addition, you will have an important role in coordination of technology support for delivery projects, reference management and RTD activities.

Expectations

• You should have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree on thermal, energy, environmental, chemical or process engineering.
• At least 8 years of working experience related to boiler or gasifier product technology is required.
• You have fluent English skills both written and spoken. Other language skills, such as Finnish, are seen as a benefit.
• Position includes occasional travelling, so hopefully you have willingness to travel.
• You are a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• You enjoy working closely with our internal and external stakeholders and understand they needs and can provide technical recommendations.
• You have an ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
