Devops/Java Engineer

Our banking client based in Luxembourg is looking for a DevOps/Java Engineer. This is a 1 year contract/freelance role initially with a good opportunity of extension.

The role will require to spend 55 days in Luxembourg and 165 days will be worked remotely.

Candidates need to be eligible for EU Secret clearance.

Description:

• Perform different automation for build / validation / deployment / release using Azure DevOps.

• Support the different development activities and production environment and assist the root cause analysis of various issues in the system concerning the database, the java environment, the core application, python scripts, etc.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

• Support the build/validation/deployment/release processes

• Basic system administration of unix systems

• Generating reports of results of the pipeline execution

• Support root cause analysis of various issues that may occur in the development or the production environment

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree

• Strong English language skills

• At least 7 years’ experience with Solid Azure DevOps knowledge

• At least 7 years’ experience with Excellent Unix usage

• At least 7 years’ experience with Java programming language, its runtime environment

• Good understanding of Relational DBs (SQL) and stored procedures
