Unreal UI Programmer

Working at Grid Games means working in-house on an ambitious project with people aspiring to make the sci-fi MMORPG of the future.

The studio is located near train station Weesp and the A1.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR

An experienced UI Programmer to help create and maintain our UI foundation built across a multi-year project.

In this role you will:

• Partner with other developers to help build a solid UI foundation on top of the underlying MMO systems.
• Set up larger systems promoting extendibility and ease-of-use.
• Build clean and organized widgets in UMG and Slate to help bring the project to life.
• Work with the production team to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain a consistent visual aesthetic throughout the game.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Solid experience working with Unreal Engine 4/5.
• Strong experience in both Blueprint and C++.
• Able to work autonomously and own all or portions of the UI system.
• Experience building UI systems using Slate.
• Knowledgeable in creating efficient and optimized UI code.
• You’re passionate, solution-focused and innovative.

EXTRA POINTS

• Broad knowledge of most other systems of Unreal Engine.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX design.
• Knowledge of UI materials/shaders.
• Experience creating in-editor tools.

WHAT WE OFFER

Salary offered is based on numerous factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills and organizational needs.

• Initial contract duration of 1 year (40 hours per week).
• Yearly full-time gross salary of € 48k - € 63k (including 8% holiday bonus).
• Annuity/pension (10% of base gross salary, paid monthly).
• Travel cost compensation (100% of NS train journey or € 0,23 per km of car/bicycle journey, paid monthly).
• Free lunch.
