With a strong leadership team in place (CEO, CCO), we are now looking for a strategic-minded, hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to drive our technological evolution and integrate cutting-edge blockchain, fintech, and eCommerce innovations into our platform.

This is a co-founder-level opportunity for an experienced Solidity engineer and blockchain leader ready to shape the future of tokenized investments and decentralized eCommerce.

The Role

As CTO, you will be responsible for building and executing our blockchain architecture, leading smart contract development, and ensuring the scalability and security of our Ethereum-based real estate investment platform.

Additionally, you will integrate the latest eCommerce and fintech technologies to enhance user experience, automate transactions, and optimize payment processing using Web3 and AI-driven solutions.

You should be a visionary technologist who understands both the technical and strategic aspects of blockchain, fintech, and DeFi development, with a strong focus on security, automation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute Berick’s blockchain strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Solidity smart contracts for real estate tokenization.
• Oversee technical infrastructure, including the integration of Ethereum, Web3, and DeFi protocols.
• Optimize gas fees, transaction efficiency, and smart contract security.
• Integrate AI-powered automation for customer onboarding, fraud detection, and transaction processing.
• Develop a seamless eCommerce experience by implementing:
• Web3-native payment gateways (e.g., Ramp, MoonPay, Transak)
• DeFi-based lending and yield strategies for users
• AI-driven pricing algorithms for real estate token valuations
• Chatbot and voice AI for automated support
• Multi-chain compatibility (Avalanche, Polygon, Solana)
• Manage security audits and ensure best practices in blockchain development to protect investor funds.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to align with evolving crypto and financial regulations.
• Build and lead a high-performing technical team as the company scales.
• Stay ahead of blockchain trends, AI-driven fintech solutions, and eCommerce innovations to keep Berick at the forefront of the industry.

Who You Are

You are a senior blockchain and fintech technologist in your late 30s or 40s, looking for an entrepreneurial opportunity where you can shape a company from its early stages. You thrive in fast-paced environments and want to be part of a team that is disrupting traditional finance through blockchain, DeFi, and tokenized eCommerce.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Solidity and Ethereum smart contract development.
• Deep understanding of Ethereum, EVM, and Web3 technologies.
• Experience with DeFi protocols such as Uniswap, Aave, Compound, or similar.
• Strong smart contract security knowledge, including common attack vectors.
• Familiarity with ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155, and ERC4626 token standards.
• Hands-on experience with Web3 payments, AI-driven eCommerce, and tokenization platforms.
• Startup mentality—a self-starter who can work with limited resources and build from scratch.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1/C2) or Spanish (C1/C2, with English B2+).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience building or scaling a blockchain startup.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
• Knowledge of formal verification tools and smart contract auditing.
• Experience working with real-world asset tokenization projects.
• Strong network in the blockchain space (developers, investors, or ecosystem players).
• Experience with AI automation, NLP, and machine learning applications in fintech.
