Python Developer (GTA, ON, Canada)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Python Developer to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Python development with minimum to no supervision. Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, the Backend Python Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backend systems that power our web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and secure backend services using Python
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs
• Implement RESTful APIs for communication between frontend and backend systems
• Optimize application performance and scalability through efficient coding and database query optimization
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews and testing
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth functioning of backend systems
• Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and best practices
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development with Python
• Solid understanding of backend development principles and best practices
• Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure
