Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Application Developer to participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.

  • The ideal candidate will work on client and server-side architectures, write clean, scalable code, and improve existing applications while ensuring high performance and security standards.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a technical consultant for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in end-to-end software development, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Application Architecture: Design and develop client-server architectures for scalable and efficient applications.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to industry standards for performance, security, and naming conventions.
  • Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Refactor, enhance, and improve existing applications to align with evolving business needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for new and existing implementations.
  • Technical Consultancy: Provide guidance and support to clients on technical solutions and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in AS400 or z/OS mainframe operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with banking implementations, particularly Card Systems.

Technical Skills

  • Application development
  • Relational databases (DB2 preferred, SQL Server)
  • Object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
  • sSftware development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • API development (RESTful services)
  • Version control systems like Git or SVN.
  • Banking and financial industry.
  • Jira and Confluence
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
