Overview

Join a leading financial services and insurance firm as a Software Development Technical Lead. In this role, you will oversee a team of engineers to design and build features of applications.

You will work closely with product and engineering managers and teams to scope, architect, and execute key features and enhancements across the full stack. This role will play a critical part in reshaping how users access the firm's innovative products and services.

Responsibilities

• Work with a multidisciplinary team of developers/engineers in a leadership capacity.
• Take ownership of one or more products by adding new features, resolving bugs, and improving/refactoring the codebase.
• Translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, and extensible software solutions that align with company objectives.
• Act as the technical owner of new products/features from development through to deployment.
• Identify technical requirements during product meetings and guide the team through planning and feature development.
• Write automated developer tests for new features, update existing tests as needed, and support the team in doing the same.
• Collaborate with other developers/engineers to identify optimal implementation approaches for features.
• Contribute to the development of test plans/strategies in collaboration with colleagues.
• Ensure the quality of all team output, including code, executables, and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in team performance and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level qualification (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field).
• Strong experience with .NET framework and C#.
• Proficiency in Visual Basic 6 for legacy systems maintenance or migration efforts.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React is highly desirable.
