Project Manager -Drive Premium Development at Scania

Scania Group
Sweden · Full-time · Entry

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions. Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

Role Summary

We are looking for strategic and forward-thinking leaders who thrive in a cross-functional environment and want to drive business value and premium product development.

At Scania Project Office, we lead cross-functional product development projects that drive premium value for our customers and the industry.

We operate in a diverse and inclusive environment with new interfaces to R&D and property-driven development, ensuring that our products are not just innovative, but truly best in class.

Here, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders—including Marketing, Production, R&D, Procurement, Logistics, and Aftermarket—to deliver high-impact projects that define the future of premium transport solutions.

We believe that great leadership comes in many forms. Whether your background is in engineering, logistics, business, or another field, your ability to align teams, manage complexity, and drive results is what matters most.

What’s in It for You?

  • Be part of a growing and dynamic Project Office, where your leadership will shape the future of Scania’s premium offerings.
  • Work in a truly global and diverse environment, collaborating with professionals from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Enjoy excellent career development opportunities, with continuous learning, leadership training, and growth potential.
  • Contribute to meaningful projects that are driving Scania’s innovation, sustainability, and business success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of Scania’s unique business value based on the TRATON Modular System, in close collaboration with TRATON Group R&D.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional product development projects that strengthen Scania’s Premium Brand.
  • Navigate new interfaces to R&D, ensuring seamless collaboration across functions.
  • Align stakeholders from diverse areas, making strategic decisions that balance business, technology, and sustainability.
  • Proactively manage risks and opportunities, ensuring that each project delivers high quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Inspire and empower teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, and continuous learning.

Who You Are

  • Experience in leading cross-functional projects, ideally in product development, production, logistics, purchasing, or a related field.
  • A structured and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to build strong relationships across functions and cultures.
  • A passion for driving business value through premium product development.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, enabling you to align teams and drive results without direct resource ownership.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences—what matters most is your ability to lead, collaborate, and deliver impact.
