Job Description

What's it all about?

As a Data Scientist, you will be an integral part of the team driving data innovations for the Visa Consulting & Analytics team and our external partners. This role involves working with various departments within Visa and our clients, helping understand their needs and contributing to the execution of data-driven solutions.

What We Expect Of You Day-to-day

  • Contribute to the improvement of data products to enhance activation and usage.
  • Work alongside data product sales specialists and consultants in engaging with clients.
  • Support the development of collateral to facilitate cluster sales.
  • Assist in understanding the needs of clients and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions.
  • Support the technical product management for refining and hardening cluster-based solutions.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data science outputs.
  • Participate in the development and refinement of new solution ideas catering to a diverse range of clients.
  • Collaborate in the prioritization of new solution development, working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of proof of value, including business case simulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members for solution testing within clusters.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in role in data science
  • Strong experience with data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with payments data is highly desirable.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Fluency in English
