QA Automation Engineer (Java)

BANKING PROJECT

• Project Description:

-Join our Development Center in Romania, and become a member of our open-minded, progressive, and professional team. In this role you will be working on projects for one our world-famous clients.

-We are using a microservice-based, API-driven software architecture built on Spring Boot and Java 11, with React in the front-end. We are using Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift for deployment on-premise and migrating to Google Cloud (GCP). We automate build and deployment with TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Terraform and Helm. We put special focus on Domain-Driven Design, Design Patterns, Clean Code, automated testing, and Cloud focused Architecture.

• Responsibilities:

a. Work as member in our team and provide input to the release plan, defect/change management processes, systems integration, testing tools and processes.

b. Analyze requirements, write test cases and create test data, produce and define programme / project level test strategies, plans to support the testing activities across releases and conduct the progress.

c. Ensure the implementation of the test strategies and plans, conduct testing activities, analyze and record test results, record defects. Collate and report on metric data

d. Ensure the proper automated test cases / scripts / test infrastructures are in place and automated test produce expected results like reports on defined metrics.

e. Identifying areas of weakness to existing procedures, continually implement new procedures, and assess risk of impact from changes to projects

f. Analyze, document and communicate test results to our stakeholder and developer

g. Ensure adherence to testing best practices and DB testing standards

• Mandatory Skills Description:

a. 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance

b. Good knowledge of any JVM programming language (preferably Java or Kotlin)

c. Experience with Selenium

d. Experience with REST API testing

e. Database experience and SQL skills

f. UNIX and Bash experience (bash scripting)

g. Demonstrable client-server and GUI testing experience including test automation tools

h. Test planning, designing, and test strategy/case/script creation and execution.

i. Knowledge system and performance testing of applications using industry standard practices and tools; experience with integration & regression testing

j. Experience with defect and change tracking, producing performance metrics.

k. Good written and spoken English

• Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

a. Automated test tool/frameworks development experience

b. Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools

c. Understanding of banking systems and processes

• Languages:

-English: B2 Upper Intermediate
