We are recruiting for a 2x Data Quality Analysts (Junior & Senior) for a hybrid, full-time freelance Project in Liège, BE. Our client is looking for candidates to start ASAP on a hybrid basis for an initial 11 Month contract.
QA Analysts (Junior and Senior)
Duration: 11 Months Initially (Extendable into the new year)
Location: Liège, BE (50% onsite / 50% WFH)
Freelance / B2B contract
Full-time / 5 days per week
Languages: English + French Fluency
About the Role:
A leading organization in the energy sector is seeking a Senior Data Quality Analysts to play a central role in ensuring and improving the quality of data that feeds their new Smart Grid software. This role sits within the Data organization and is crucial to the success of their strategic program, which aims to modernize infrastructure and improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of energy systems through innovative solutions leveraging modern technologies like AI and Machine Learning. Reporting to the coordinator of the AI & Data Governance team, this role will be instrumental in establishing a robust data quality culture.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively detect data quality issues.
- Propose solutions for resolving data quality problems.
- Conduct root cause analyses to understand the origin of data quality issues.
- Train data producers on good data quality management practices.
- Assist the data governance team in fostering a data quality culture.
- Document quality rules, results, and follow up on observed deviations.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst role (Medior - 3 to 5 years).
- French C1 level proficiency.
- University or bachelor's degree in higher education with a focus on computer science, data, or equivalent.
- Ability to understand business issues and data connections.
- Ability to document quality rules, results, and follow up on observed deviations.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis in the event of a data problem.
- Ability to propose solutions to data problems.
- Knowledge of the dimensions of data quality.
- Experience in profiling and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Proficiency in SQL query language.
Desirable:
- Experience in the energy sector.
- Driven by the realization of a technological watch around data quality management.
- Ability to communicate and work independently with various stakeholders.
- Experience with data profiling libraries such as Soda or Great Expectations.
- Experience with SAP ECC or S4/HANA.
- Experience with SAP SAC Analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Conviction of the urgency and importance of the energy transition, and willingness to have a positive impact in its daily work on this strategic priority.
