Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. ( Hybrid Working, onsite 2 days per week)

Duration: Initial 9 Month Contract + opportunity to extend long-term.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join a multinational manufacturing client in Gothenburg, Sweden. Initial 9 month contract + opportunity to extend long-term, hybrid working, onsite 2 days a week & start date March 2025.

Description:

The mission of this assignment is to develop and maintain applications that are used by different divisions within the multinational clients group. The applications are mainly backend C++ applications that provide unique parameters and BOM for end users to perform technical calculations, for factories to assemble objects, or for sales to specify orders.

Our client is on an exciting journey to modernize the IT architectures and migrate their on-prem applications to ARO (Azure Red Hat Openshift) environment and convert them to be cloud services.

Background:

The candidate should have an engineering background to communicate efficiently with our engineering stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experiences on C++, Node.js, Javascript / JQuery / Bootstrap, ARO (Azure Red Hat Openshift), Oracle, Containerization (podman/docker), RESTAPI, Python
• Version control: GIT, Bitbucket

Desired skills:

• Several years of hands-on experience in PHP, CI/CD, message queue concept (e.g. IBM MQ)

Competence and Skills:

• Self-motivated person to work independently
• Strong team spirit to cooperate with team members, share ideas and help each other
• Strong agile mindset and positive to accept rapid changes
• Experience in Scrum manifesto
• Proactive thinking to build high quality, robust, and scalable software applications
