Telecommunication Technician DSN

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Telecommunication Technician DSN. This position will be located in Qatar and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Provide telecommunications strategic DSN support. The contractor shall:

• Design, install, decommission, operate, maintain, administer and install telecommunications (strategic DSN) equipment;
• Ensure O&M support is performed IAW SPIN-C, DOD and USAF policies and procedures;
• Administer and manage telephone switch, associated equipment, integrated voice mail systems, remote switching systems, optical carrier systems, rectifiers and rectifier battery systems, inverters, power supplies, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and other telephone sub-systems;
• Support equipment installation, placement, or relocation, including system checkout, test, and maintenance;
• Perform work IAW DoD, USAF, telephone switch manufacturers, manufacturers of system components and generally accepted telecommunications industry standards and practices;
• Provide reach-back and logistic support;
• Provide repair, return, and replacement.
  
  

Qualifications

High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience)

Clearance Required: Secret

Required Skills And Experience

• IAT-II Certification
• Switch Notification on Nortel SL-100 or Meridian I/Succession 1000 family of switches
• Completed Avaya Professional Credential Program
• Intermediate level practical experience in: installation, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of telecommunications systems or equipment; solving complex problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits and ability to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment
• Intermediate level experience in maintaining/troubleshooting telecommunications equipment: Nortel SL-100; Meridian I/Succession 1000 Family of Switches; AVAYA AURA AS-5300; Voice Over Internet Protocol Equipment (Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Voice Gateway and Cisco Analog Voice Gateways)

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range: USD $49,380.00 - USD $76,444.00 /Yr.
