SCRUM MASTER – WA Energy



Seeking an experienced Scrum Master looking for their next challenge in the energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading energy regulator in Perth, driving Agile delivery across two engineering streams within the WA energy marketplace.




WHAT’S ON OFFER


  • Perth CBD based. Hybrid working.
  • $900 a day Inclusive of superannuation
  • Exposure to working alongside one of Australia’s largest energy providers.
  • 6-month rolling contract.
  • WEM (Wholesale Electricity Market) reform initiative.




THE ROLE:



This role is suited to a highly motivated Agile leader with experience in engineering teams, who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring Agile best practices are embedded, teams are high-performing, and projects deliver meaningful outcomes for the industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Guide two engineering teams in Agile ways of working, ensuring Scrum ceremonies are effective and that teams continuously improve.
  • Remove impediments, optimize workflows, and ensure the teams stay aligned with project goal
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership to drive alignment and value delivery.
  • Understand the unique challenges of the Perth energy market and ensure Agile practices are tailored to industry needs.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous learning.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in the energy, utilities, or engineering sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and experience scaling Agile in technical teams.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to coach teams and drive Agile maturity.
  • Experience working in hybrid environments, balancing Agile best practices with the realities of complex engineering projects.
  • Ability to manage dependencies between teams and align Agile delivery with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in regulated environments.
