AI/ML/NLP Expert

Description

We currently have a vacancy for an AI/ML/NLP Expert fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

Development and maintenance of software applications in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI);

Design and optimize machine learning systems and deep learning architectures;

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing products or processes;

Design the IT architecture for solutions in the NLP / ML / AI fields, and coordinate its implementation considering master- and meta-data management concepts;

Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation;

Maintain AI deployed solutions on SaaS platforms (AWS, Azure);

Document architecture blueprints and discuss business requirements.

Requirements

Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;

Very good knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Text embeddings, Tokenization and Vectorization, Machine and Deep Learning;

Very good knowledge and understanding of Python/Java/Containers (Docker/Kubernetes)/Cloud AI services (AWS, Azure);

Good knowledge of natural language processing systems lifecycle and agile software development methodologies;

Good knowledge of quality assurance and quality control for machine translation (MT) and experience with MT quality procedures, testing methodologies and tools, such as automatic quality metrics (BLEU scores and similar) and human evaluation of MT quality;

One of the following certificates would be considered a very strong asset:

-AWS Certified Machine Learning / Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate

-AWS Certified Data Analytics / Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate

-AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Excellent command of the English language, good understanding of French would be considered an asset.
