Cybersecurity Project Manager (Freelance)

On behalf of our client, one of Brussels' most renowned hospitals, we are looking for a Freelance Cybersecurity Project Manager for a long-term, part-time (3/5) assignment. Join a leading healthcare institution and contribute to critical cybersecurity initiatives!

As an Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will lead the remediation of the IT landscape and ensure compliance with the NIS2 Directive (EU) 2022/2555. You will also drive the cybersecurity initiatives in a matrixed environment, managing resources, risks, and stakeholder communication to deliver high-quality results.

Tasks:

• Oversee and coordinate remediation projects to achieve compliance with the NIS2 Directive ;
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to assess vulnerabilities and implement effective security measures ;
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, budgets, and necessary resources ;
• Ensure teams are well-informed and trained on updated security policies and procedures ;
• Track project progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide regular updates to management.

Profile:

• Proven experience in managing cybersecurity projects ;
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and a good understanding of NIS2 Directive ;
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills ;
• Autonomous, hands-on, and results-driven, with the ability to navigate a matrixed environment ;
• Project management (PMP, PRINCE2), cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM) certifications are a plus ;
• 10+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a degree in computer science.
