We are now looking for two enthusiastic Software Developer Trainees to join our Digital Development Team. As a trainee, you will participate in everyday software development and deployment activities. Additionally, you might find a great topic for your diploma work in our area or continue with your existing one if it aligns. You will participate in teams that provide major services, and most importantly, you will improve your skills and learn by doing. Technology-wise, the focus is mainly on React, Python, Java, AWS, and Storybook.

Key Responsibilities

• Code, plan, and communicate with stakeholders
• Create solution documentation to be reviewed by your mentor or other software developers
• Gather system reliability, scaling, and lifecycle-related information to be used in management decision-making, as well as development and maintenance decisions
• Interface with multiple development teams to ensure end-to-end technical alignment
  
  

What are we looking for?

• You are either a recent graduate or in the final stages of your studies in a relevant field
• You have already learned the fundamentals of software engineering through education and training
• We don’t expect you to excel in everything before joining us, but we do look for eagerness to learn more about some of these technologies: TypeScript, React, Storybook, Python, or Java, AWS
• Ambitious and determined mindset with enthusiasm for learning new things
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
• It’s a huge plus if you have some code or a project to share, whether from school or your free time
• Fluent language skills in English

General Information

• All trainee positions are located at our headquarters at Postintaival 7, Helsinki. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing you to work remotely as well.
• The salary for trainees is €2800 per month.
• Each trainee will be assigned a dedicated mentor to ensure a smooth onboarding process and a rewarding traineeship experience.
• The Trainee Program will begin on 14.4.2025 with a kick-off week and will last for six months. During the program, we will organize engagement activities, giving you the opportunity to get to know other trainees, Posti’s different business groups, our operations, and much more.
