About the role

Graceview is looking for an exceptional Software Engineer, Frontend to join our engineering team in Melbourne, AU. In this role, you will support software engineering projects that will make a lasting positive impact on our customers and the quality of our products. Everything we do is polished to high standards in all aspects of our work, from design to internal communications to code.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of being able to travel to Melbourne CBD up to two days per week to attend in-person activities and workshops.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with designers, developers, legal experts to deliver a state of the art web application.
• Reviewing, testing, and refactoring frontend code to ensure quality and consistency across the codebase.
• Ensuring that the frontend is polished to high standards by helping to correct minor bugs or inconsistencies before release.
• Coordinating with a global team to effectively communicate priorities and upcoming work.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in React.js, Next.js, React JSX, Node.js, NPM, JavaScript, and PWAs.
• Experience with using Tailwind CSS to develop responsive and mobile websites.
• Experience integrating both RESTful and streaming APIs for use with decoupled frontends.
• Attention to detail, especially when it comes to design and coding style.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The following are nice to haves but not required:

• Developing using container-based workflows.
• Automated testing frameworks (Cucumber/Jest).
• Familiarity with the shadcn/ui component library.
• Familiarity with Laravel.

Compensation

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $130,000 and $150,000, inclusive of super guarantee. However, adjustments outside of this salary range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications substantially differ from those outlined in this job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our employee share option plan (ESOP).
