My client in the IFSC is seeking a VP Project Manager to join their dynamic Projects Team. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, responsible for managing and executing strategic projects related to fund administration. The successful candidate will ensure strong project governance, effective reporting, and timely risk identification and escalation across various initiatives. Working closely with senior management, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality solutions to stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

  • Manage all phases of projects, from initiation to post-implementation review.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define project scope, resourcing, and requirements, ensuring alignment and success.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, timelines, costs, resources, risks, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and implement contingency plans where necessary.
  • Apply strategic thinking to devise innovative approaches to problem-solving and project execution.

Governance & Reporting:

  • Ensure standardised governance oversight across all projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of key project documentation, including status reports, stakeholder communications, and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate or assist in regular stakeholder meetings, ensuring agendas, minutes, and action items are well-managed.
  • Tailor reporting and communication to various audiences, from leadership to operational and technical teams.
  • Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications where applicable.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Ensure effective utilisation of staff across projects, assigning tasks appropriately and ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Coach and develop staff through ongoing training and mentoring.
  • Oversee performance management, career development, and succession planning for assigned team members.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of operational experience, ideally within fund administration, with a focus on strategic initiatives and project management.
  • Strong experience in developing and managing detailed project plans.
  • Ability to identify and escalate risks, manage project timelines, and create tailored status reports for stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • A strategic mindset with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and taking ownership of new initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience coaching and developing staff.
  • Strong knowledge of fund administration functions and industry best practices.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is desirable.
