Cloud Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and services. As a Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of our cloudbased systems. You will work with various cloud platforms and technologies to optimize performance, automate processes, and enable seamless deployment and management of our applications and services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services based on industry best practices and business requirements.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure effective integration and deployment of applications on cloud platforms.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Infrastructure-asCode (IaC) tools and technologies (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Monitor and manage cloud resources, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security.
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and compliance.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and services, proactively identifying and resolving performance or availability issues.
• Conduct periodic performance and cost optimization analysis of cloud resources and make recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, services, and trends, and evaluate their potential benefits and applications within the organization.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development and DevOps team on cloud-related matters.
• Collaborate with cloud vendors and service providers to ensure effective utilization of cloud services and resolve any technical issues

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS. Azure is nice to have.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation and provisioning tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like EKS.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud-based architectures. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, GitHubActions).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools for cloud environments.
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) and security frameworks for cloud platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
