About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Operational Risk to join our dynamic risk management team. This pivotal role requires a blend of operational risk expertise along with a strong understanding of technology risk. You will be responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of both operational and technology-related risks, ensuring that risk management strategies are effectively integrated across the organization.

As a key leader in our risk team, you will work closely with senior leadership, business units, and technology stakeholders to drive risk awareness, resilience, and compliance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the operational risk management framework, ensuring that potential risks across operations, processes, and systems are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.
• Partner with technology teams to identify and manage technology risk, focusing on cybersecurity, data privacy, IT systems, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with business units to enhance risk awareness and promote a culture of risk mitigation.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, scenario analyses, and stress tests to ensure readiness for both operational and technology-related disruptions.
• Provide expert advice on risk management policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate exposure to operational and technology-related incidents.
• Report on risk trends, incidents, and control effectiveness to senior leadership, presenting actionable insights for continuous risk management improvement.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and risk assessments, ensuring that the organization remains in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the risk team, helping to build a culture of proactive risk management within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in operational risk, technology risk, or a related field, experience must be within banking.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks and methodologies, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
• Expertise in risk management tools and technologies for both operational and technology risk.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to non-technical audiences.
