A pioneering SaaS platform using AI and blockchain technologies to democratise renewable energy access for companies. We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and execution, driving innovation and ensuring the scalability and security of our platform.

About the Role:

The CTO will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for defining and implementing the overall technology vision and roadmap. This role requires a deep understanding of SaaS platforms, AI, blockchain, smart contracts and the renewable energy landscape. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of leading and inspiring a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Technology Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute the company's technology strategy, aligning it with business goals and market trends. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the platform.
• Platform Development & Management: Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the SaaS platform, ensuring its scalability, security, and reliability. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the platform's features and functionality.
• Engineering Leadership: Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance. Manage team resources effectively and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• AI & Blockchain Integration: Drive the strategic integration of AI and blockchain technologies into the platform, leveraging their potential to optimize energy management, enhance transparency, and democratize access to renewable energy.
• Data Security & Privacy: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Prioritize data privacy and security in all technology decisions.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the company's technology infrastructure, including cloud services, servers, and networks. Ensure the infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with other departments, including product, sales, and marketing, to understand their needs and ensure technology solutions support business objectives. Communicate effectively with the board of directors and investors on technology matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• 3+ years of experience in the energy sector.
• Deep understanding of AI and blockchain technologies and their applications.
• Deep understanding of smart contracts.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
