Key Requirements

Primary:

1. Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance, availability, and security using various tools and systems.

2. Server Monitoring: Monitor server performance, cloud environ using various tools and systems.

3. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot network issues, including outages, performance degradation, and security incidents.

4. Incident Management: Manage and resolve network incidents, including escalation to senior engineers or management as needed.

5. Problem Management: Identify and resolve root causes of recurring network issues.

6. Configuration Management: Manage network device configurations, including backups, updates, and changes.

Secondary:

1. Security Management: Monitor and respond to network security incidents, including intrusion detection and vulnerability management.

2. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.

3. Communication: Communicate network issues, outages, and maintenance to stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and end-users.

Preferred:

1. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of:

1. Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

2. Network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

3. Network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)

4. Network management tools (SNMP, Syslog)

5. Scripting languages (Python, Perl)

2. Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA, are highly desirable.

3. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
