About The Team

At Unzer, we drive a high-tech, dynamic, and resilient network infrastructure. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional performance and security to empower our users and services. We are seeking a Network Engineer who will play a pivotal role in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting the Unzer network. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, secure data flow, and exceptional user experiences.

What your work will look like:

  • As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design, deploy, and operate functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, and Cloud).
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance and availability to ensure peak reliability.
  • Resolving escalated issues, incidents, and service tickets with efficiency.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with users, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Craft and maintain accurate, detailed technical documentation.
  • Proactively suggest improvements for network performance, capacity, and scalability.


What you need to be successful in this role:

  • We’re looking for someone with a mix of technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BSc/BA preferred).
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, Fortinet NSE, AWS).
  • Strong expertise in network administration and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of network communication and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
  • Hands-on experience with site-to-site and remote access VPN technologies.
  • Solid understanding of authentication, authorization methods, and network security.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking solutions and infrastructure.
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL.
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Skills

While not required, the following skills and experiences would make you stand out:

  • Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
  • Familiarity with SASE, SSE, SD-WAN, and SD-Access concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet products.
  • Knowledge of the PCI-DSS standard.
