System Engineer

Join our dynamic IT team as a System Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing the server infrastructure that underpins our business applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Issue Resolution:
    Perform in-depth analyses to diagnose and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

  • Security & Maintenance:
    Safeguard server infrastructure by applying timely patches and updates, and manage the lifecycle and daily operations of assigned assets.

  • Documentation & Process Improvement:
    Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and maintenance procedures to support team collaboration and operational efficiency.

  • Collaboration & Integration:
    Work closely with the Architecture team to design and integrate solutions that align with evolving business needs, while partnering with IT teams (service desk, network, security, and architecture) to achieve shared objectives.

  • Automation & Enhancement:
    Drive operational improvements by automating infrastructure and application provisioning, and continuously evaluate system performance to implement enhancements that boost functionality, security, and efficiency.

  • Project Oversight:
    Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they remain within scope, on time, and on budget.

Qualifications & Technical Expertise

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in ICT or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a System Engineer.
  • Languages:

    • Fluent in French and English. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
    • Solid background in DevOps practices and tools.
    • Deep knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, Clustering, File Server, IIS, etc.
    • Proficiency with VMware and familiarity with Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu Server) deployment and administration is advantageous.
    • Experience or certifications in cloud-based technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure) are a bonus.
    • A strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals, including IP addressing, network topologies, and VLANs.

System Engineer









System Engineer - Permanent Position (2 days onsite)













Our client, a distinguished leader in the Service industry, is currently seeking a skilled System Engineer to join their innovative Information Technology department. This is a permanent role requiring the engineer to be onsite two days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.







Role and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain the company's infrastructure ensuring robust and efficient operations.
  • Design and implement effective network systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
  • Identify and solve any problems that arise with computer networks and systems.
  • Consult with stakeholders to specify system requirements and design solutions.
  • Budgeting for equipment and assembly costs.
  • Assemble new systems and equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and incorporate new technology into existing units.
