Product Owner, Manufacturing Execution Systems

We are now looking for an ambitious, agile, analytical, and accountable Product Owner to join Stora Enso and support Packaging Materials and Biomaterials divisions in their MES development. This role is based in one of our Packaging Materials or Biomaterial mill sites in Finland. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments and stakeholders to drive the development and implementation of our MES and production systems.

In this key role, your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing the development backlog and collaborating with suppliers.
  • Defining service level agreements with suppliers.
  • Understanding the automation landscape and ensuring seamless integration with other business systems.
  • Identifying value opportunities for creating productional efficiency across Stora Enso mills.
  • Overseeing the implementation of MES (Optivision) and ERP (SAP) systems.

About You

We are looking for a skilled professional with:

  • Multiple years of experience in MES and production systems in forest industry.
  • Capability to do hands-on work with Optivision MES if/when needed.
  • Experience in integrating MES into automation systems.
  • Strong management and collaboration skills.
  • An analytical approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Ambition for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to fast decision-making and execution.
  • A degree in automation and/or engineering
  • Fluent in English and Finnish languages.
