Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Brussels/Hybrid - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Duration: 16 months initially - very likely to extend
Company: Global IT consultancy client
Responsibilities:
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for setting up the cloud infrastructure to support both existing and new assets.
- Utilize deployment automation tools such as Jenkins and Digital AI to streamline deployment processes.
- Implement automated deployment for Middleware, Database, and Web applications using Terraform.
- Possess a strong understanding of DevOps principles, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, Continuous Testing, and process automation.
- Demonstrated expertise in Linux, Shell scripting, and Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with essential infrastructure tools and platforms, including Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, Helm, Node.js, Terraform, Ansible, Docker containers, PostgreSQL, Redis, and CloudFormation Templates (CFT).
- Automate build and deployment processes with tools like Ansible.
- Coordinate release orchestration activities, including managing application packages, runbooks, and release pipelines/workflows.
- Work with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, SVN, and Git.
- Support development, testing, quality assurance, and collaboration by enabling tooling.
- Facilitate cloud adoption by implementing strategies for cloud migration and deployment.
Required Skills/Experience
- Solid hands-on experience with production environments, including hardware and software components.
- Strong technical understanding of cloud technologies and containerization.
- Familiarity with architectural principles, rules, and standards.
- Knowledge of programming languages relevant to the technical context, valuable for evaluating architectural decisions and providing technical support.
- Experience working in Scrum methodology
