About The Team And The Role

eBay is seeking a dedicated Accessibility Product Manager (Subject Matter Expert). The candidate will primarily serve as the A11y SME reviewing, consulting and providing guidance to product teams and support multiple aspects of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) compliance and ensure our platforms meet regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accessibility guidelines such as WCAG and EN 301 549, familiarity with assistive technology, excellent communication skills, and experience collaborating with diverse teams across an organization. You will play a key role in reporting on accessibility metrics, and supporting both product and non-product teams to ensure a more accessible eBay! The candidate will join our small Core Accessibility Team and help guide our overall program strategy.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Integrate accessibility into the development process by working closely with product teams including design, design systems, engineering, research, content, and product management
  • Collaborate and partner with Regulatory and Legal partners to oversee and manage the compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) for eBay websites and mobile apps
  • Develop and manage relationships with external suppliers to support accessibility initiatives

Job Description

  • Define key metrics for the assigned domain or project and establish and validate product hypotheses to drive growth.
  • Define problems through data analysis or user needs analysis, and plan services based on technical understanding and ideas.
  • Actively lead and manage projects based on VOC (Voice of Customer) data or the organization's top-down mission.
  • Design UX/UI in the most optimal direction according to user needs, including service policies, detailed feature definitions, and operation scenarios.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including the Tech organization, to successfully complete projects.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Product Manager.
  • Experience in IT platform-based service planning and UX design.
  • Experience in defining problems through user data analysis and deriving insights to improve services.
  • Proven experience leading a product from conception to launch.
  • Ability to communicate logically and smoothly with various stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the e-commerce industry, with the ability to understand customers, sellers, and business perspectives from multiple angles.
  • Experience in building and improving systems related to products, orders, and delivery in e-commerce services.
  • High interest and understanding of Qoo10 services.
