Business Intelligence Consultant

Job Summary

As a BI Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and ensuring continuous improvement of our Business Intelligence solutions. You will be responsible for monitoring and resolving data and dashboard issues, performing analyses, managing BI frameworks, and supporting end users in making data-driven decisions. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, the IT & Data team including the Architect and the Master Data Specialist, and external vendors to ensure a robust and effective BI environment.

The BI Specialist is a new position/role within the IT & Data team and it is aimed at paving the way to a data-driven organization. The BI Specialist will play a pivotal role in enabling that journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively and reactively monitor and resolve data and dashboard issues
• Perform requested and proactive data analyses and contribute to the continuous development of dashboards
• Ensure consistent dashboard release cycles and publish/share release notifications
• Actively promote and evaluate the usage of analytics products by end users
• Manage, document, implement, and further develop the BI framework and strategy
• Train key users and develop internal training programs
• Manage and monitor usage of dashboards and access
• Maintain contact with vendors and systematically verify compliance with agreements and SLAs
• Integrate and unlock data from sources beyond Finance & Operations (F&O) and Customer Engagement (CE) for analysis

Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for a proactive and passionate college in the IT & Data team. Dutch-speakers are preferred but isn’t required; the team is already mixed with non-Dutch speakers.

What do we require:

• Self-starter: proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication skills to train and support key users
• Strong analytical skills in the BI-domain
• Hands-on experience with PowerBI and DAX
• Hands-on experience with developing and maintaining dashboards and reports
• Very high proficiency in English (both written and spoken)

Our ideal candidate also preferably has:

• Hands-on experience with data management, data modeling, and database technologies (for example SQL)
• Experience with ETL-processes and tools
• The ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions
• Previous experience in ERP-systems, like Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and CE
• Experience in working with cloud-based BI solutions and data platforms.
