Sanoma Learning’s Kampus development focuses on creating a cloud-native platform for secondary education. The platform is used by tens of thousands of teachers and students on a daily basis.

Role Responsibilities

Back-end developer in a Scrum-based team. Product is actively developed and invested in. We’re building new features and also supporting the current usage in three different countries. The back-end technonolgies we use are Java, RxJava, JavaScript, NodeJs, MongoDB, AWS, Terraform & Docker.

Must-have Requirements

• 5+ years of Java knowledge (bonus for rxJava and/or vertX)
• AWS Lambda knowledge
• Passion for building secure, scalable, high-availability solutions
• Previous experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe...)
• A DevOps mindset
• Fluent communication and documentation skills in English
• A positive attitude and ability to work in an international team
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
  
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

• We appreciate if you understand modern architecture models such as Micro Services, Serverless Architecture and Event-driven Architecture
• Knowledge in Kubernetes, Spring Framework or NodeJS is considered as advantage
